IBExpert Named User License

A named user license is an exclusive licensure of rights assigned to a single named (first and last name) IBExpert license owner. The user will be named with their first and last name in the license file. Named user licenses allow the user to use IBExpert on multiple computers.

License conditions

After purchasing the Named User License, the user’s first and last name is listed in the license file. This permits the user to be the only person permitted to access and use IBExpert with this license file. The license owner is permitted to perform endless installations of IBExpert, but only the license owner (first and last name) is allowed to start and use the software.

When using IBExpert with a Named User License, IBExpert will start only after a 6 digit license code is entered. Only the license owner (first and last name) who is licensed in the IBExpert license file and named in the purchase process is allowed to use the given license file with the given license code.

The licensed named user (first and last name) can install IBExpert wherever he needs it and copy the license file to this computer. No additional keys are required to make IBExpert work.

The license file is valid for 12 months for new installations and unlimited for IBExpert versions already installed. During this 12 month period, the license owner (first and last name) can install IBExpert on any computer. It can continue to be started by the license owner (first and last name) after the 12 months without any limitations, but only on those machines where it was installed during the 12 month validity period.

After this 12 month period, the license file can no longer be used to install the software on new machines. To be able to install and use it on new computers, it is necessary to purchase IBExpert Named User Software Assurance. Following purchase of the software assurance, the license owner (first and last name) receives a new license file, which again allows the license owner to install and use IBExpert on new machines for a further 12 month period.
