This course is aimed at database administrators and developers who need to compile more complex data analyses and create reports based on the Firebird database data, who wish to implement content and simple dialogues on web interfaces and would like to automate daily operations.

Using the IBExpert Report Manager, we show you how to create your own data sources and use these to generate your own reports, by adding a database and selecting query components. We then take a look at the band types and bar properties as well as the data connections in the Object Inspector.

Report elements, such as bar codes, images and rich text, interactive query parameter and even crosstabs along with other more complex reports are explained. This section also includes the analysis and discussion of the demo reports.

You will learn how to generate, print, and export reports with the IBExpert Report Manager. You will see how to use IBEBlock commands to automatically create reports in command-line mode. The monthly sales report, invoices or other reports can be created in the Report Manager and executed using simple SQL statements. The result can be stored in the database as a PDF file or other formats and automatically be sent by email.

As a special highlight we will also show you a brief summary of how you can create applications for Android using Object Pascal and the Lazarus IDE.

At the end of the day there is ample time to answer any questions.

Terms and conditions

The workshop is subject to the VAT/sales tax applicable in the country where it is taking place. The participation fee is payable immediately upon receipt of invoice. Participation is possible only if payment has been received in full before the workshop begins. Workshop participation can be canceled up until 03.01.2014.

In case of cancellation, the organiser will levy a cancellation fee of EUR 50 per person per day excluding VAT. After this date, it is no longer possible to cancel and the workshop fee must be paid in full.

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the training program for organisational or other reasons. Payments will be refunded if the workshop has to be canceled by the organizer. Further legal claims against the organizers are explicitly excluded.
