ASIN()

Description

Returns the arc sine of the argument.

Result type: DOUBLE PRECISION

Syntax

 ASIN (number)

• The result is an angle in the range [-#/2, #/2].
• If the argument is outside the range [-1, 1], NaN is returned.

Important: If the external function ASIN is declared in your database, it will override the internal function. To make the internal function available, DROP or ALTER the external function (UDF).
